![]() ![]() The food however, has become bland and inconsistent. Overall disappointed that it took about 20 minutes to order, they did not have deep dish eventhough its advertised, my order was prepared incorrectly and was not even fully cooked.Ĭorner Taco has a very welcoming, family owned atmosphere and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the pizza was not fully cooked, and the crust was still pretty doughy. They offered to make a new one but I didn't feel like waiting again so I took it. I had to go to the counter to ask what was on the pizza to figure out if it was mine and it was. Turns out it was mine with BBQ sauce on top of it which I did not order. I asked what name was on the order and he didn't know and walked away with the pizza. ![]() When I paid, they asked for my name to go with my order.Ī little while later, a guy came by with a pizza that didn't look like mine and he asked if it was mine. I ordered the deep dish and they told me they couldn't make it so I had to pick the pierise thick crust. ![]() When you walk in, there's a sign advertising deep dish pizza. No pizzas were in the oven for quite a while, while several pizzas waited to be put in there. Once they were done and we were next, all employees disappeared from behind the counter and were somewhere in the back for a little while. Waited quite a bit of time for only one party ahead of us to be helped. However, overall it was a nice night out and we had a great time. Which was really good.įOr the price that we've paid, we expected a little bit more. Finally, we've order the yin yang (milk and white chocolate) Fondue. After that, we've ordered the European style (canola oil and butter) with the Bigger night out choice for meat which included (Lobster Tail, Filet Mignon, Teriyaki-Marinated Steak, Chicken Breast, Shrimp, Atlantic Salmon, andWild Mushroom Pasta (which we substitute for more file mignon). Then, it comes the salad (we've got the melting pot house salad) which was ok, nothing special for our taste. We've ordered the Bigger night out, which include Cheese Fondue (we've order the Classic Alpine) really good. (The manager was incrediblealy polite and friendly). We've order sweet tea 4 times, but our glasses were not being replaced, so our table started to get small for all the cups. My husband's fork was dirty, but the manager quickly took care of it. The service was ok, it was visible how tired the staff was. Why not 5 star? Well, we've been to The Melting Pot Scottsdale and comparing both places, I don't believe the Jax location kept up with our expectations. Not bad, I'd go back for the omlettee again or try new items as well. Wish that was offered as a potato side, instead of home fries, lol. The irony is, they made a great crispy potato cake which was the foundation that had poached egg, ham and hollandaise. Only two places I can think of that pulled off perfect home fries and this wasn't it unfortunately. The server did state that their home fries were deep fried, and I specifically asked for them crispy, but they still were fried, barely crisp cubes, with some seasoning. I never like home fries as a side as I see it as a poor sub for crisp golden hash browns, fries, or tots, as they usually are soft, undercooked and not crisp. My bagel was perfectly toasted, and though it said "everything" seasoned cream cheese, it just tasted like cream cheese( it did have some poppies I barely saw). The entrees ordered were good: Salmon omelette had plenty of smoked salmon, with a perfect touch of red onions, spinach, and capers. Service was super friendly but I realize they must've been busy in these times as we had to ask multiple times for refills and water. Twas my first time eating at this location. I am impressed and delighted and will eat here every time I visit Jacksonville now! ![]() It’s absolutely my favorite in this area if not all of Florida. Normally I smother everything in hot sauce but I didn’t want to ruin the pure perfection. The green beans I got were the best I’ve ever had! Also I didn’t season anything, it was already perfect. Other guests in my had meatloaf and the mahi dish. We also go the crab cake appetizer, dirty rice, and every guest receives a basket of fresh bread (pumpkin, jalapeño cheddar biscuits and regular roll). The food was incredible! I opted for the 5-vegetable plate. Honestly you could just sit here and take in the view all day and be content. There are several boats and jet skis out on the water. You sit right on top of the river and the view across the way is just beautiful wilderness. I selected this place because my husband is southern and I thought he’d enjoy it. WOW! Let me start by saying I’m very northern! Also, I’m a vegetarian and I’m normally not into southern or fried foods. ![]()
